Estimator- Structured Cabling
Location: Garden City, NY

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate shall have the following abilities:
  1. Obtains material take-offs and price lists from blueprints and specifications  
  2. Evaluates plans, sketches and construction designs for cost effectiveness and user viability  
  3. Coordinates walk-throughs, communicates with customers and prepares cost estimates for new and existing business  
  4. Computes estimates of materials, equipment and other labor and work  
  5. Writes technical proposals for release and presentation to clients  
  6. Builds spreadsheets and inputs specification and takeoff information into various software programs  
     

Qualifications  

  1. BICSI RCDD certification is a plus  
  2. 2-5 years in Structured Cabling  
  3. 2-5 years estimating, pricing and bidding in construction industry; 5+ years preferred  
  4. Ability to read and understand blue prints  
  5. Motivated, self- starter, ability to work solo or in a team environment  
  6. Effective oral and written communication skills with customers and company personnel  
  7. Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Visio  
  8. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are a must  
  9. Experience in access control and CCTV are a plus

AV Systems Engineer
Location: Washington DC Metro area

Responsibilities  

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to become a key member of our mid-atlantic team serving our Baltimore - Washington DC client base. The lead technician will:  

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  
 
 

The ideal candidate shall have the following abilities:    

     

1.     Design, engineer and operate most types of AV systems and equipment    

2.     Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in a senior service support role    

3.     Create and comprehend advanced system drawings, specifications and technical manuals    

4.     Program and configure AV equipment such as media control systems (AMX/Crestron/Phillips),     DSPs, matrix mixers and switchers, codecs (Tandberg/Polycom)    

5.     Configure IP addressable devices such as routers, switches, servers    

6.     Contribute on projects from initial estimating phase through final inspections and commissioning     

   

7.     Willing to work both “in house” and in the field when required    

8.     Competent with Windows based software such as MS Office and Project    

9.     Interact with clients in a professional, customer service orientated manner    

     

QUALIFICATIONS  
 

1.     5 years or more of previous employment in an engineering or technical position with an AV integration firm, preferably with design and installation related responsibilities    

2.     Hold an ICIA certification as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS, CTS-D) or higher, or a NSCA-EST Level One certification    

3.     Hold current technical certifications from several major AV equipment manufacturers, such as Crestron, Extron, Clear One, AMX or similar firms    

4.     Proficient in the use of CAD    

5.     Possess a college degree in a technology related field (may substitute four more years of AV work experience in lieu of a college degree)    

6.     Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills

Lead Technician-Structured Cabling & AV Systems
Location: Washington DC Metro area
Responsibilities
 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to become a key member of our mid-atlantic team serving our Baltimore - Washington DC client base. The lead technician will:

  1. Conduct site surveys and feedback results to estimating
  2. Install voice & data cabling and associated hardware
  3. Manage direct labor assigned to lead technician
  4. Close out projects administratively with clients
  5. Process all project paperwork including billing logs and time sheets
Qualifications
 

Candidates interested in applying for this position must submit proof of the following minimum qualifications:

  1. At least 3 years of 'hands on' direct experience installing and commissioning data telecom structured cabling
  2. Knowledge of various types of low voltage cabling installation methodology including, but not limited to, audio/video/control/security
  3. Experience directing other technicians' field activities and maintaining quality control standards
  4. Possess industry or factory certifications such as NICET Level 1& CTS-I
  5. Strong communication skills, including computer competency
  6. Able to work at heights, lift materials up to 50 lbs., handle power tools
